President Barack Obama recently decided to disassemble the missile shield in Europe. This was perhaps the most dangerous decision of his presidency. Obama has now left America open to missile attack from rogue states. By halting the construction of the missile shield, President Obama betrayed our NATO allies and endangered American lives.

After widespread accounts of corruption and scandal in the Aug. 20th elections in Afghanistan, incumbent President Hamid Karzai has at last given in to U.S. pressure for a runoff election. Initial results had shown Karzai defeating over 30 candidates that ran against him, but allegations had persisted that final vote totals between Karzai and closest challenger Abdullah Abdullah, the former Afghan Foreign Minister, were altered to give Karzai an illegitimate victory.
Today, the global environment, particularly the issue of climate change, is a crucial issue that must be addressed. However, many individuals feel that the only way to fix the climate change problem is to enact enormous amounts of regulation on businesses and individuals.
Only recently (in the relative life span of the human species) have humans come to believe that we are somehow separate from the planet that we live on and the rest of its inhabitants. We had conviction in the domination of nature by the will of man. We believed that our advanced intellect gave us a right to devastate the environment to unthinkable proportions.
There currently exist groups advocating for an end to all war. This may at first sound like a truly wonderful goal; after all, who is not opposed to global peace? However, these advocates take it one step further and propose in the interest of global peace, the United States should be the first group to stop engaging in war.
